Malcolm Rail’s service can benefit a wide range of users. Rail is an attractive freight option as it can reduce costs, compared to road transport. Each of our rail links is strategically positioned, with access to UK wide road and rail networks and Euro links. There are 70 train services operated each week from three terminals nationwide providing a crucial link between ports, production facilities and distribution terminals.

We offer scheduled high speed transit services and deliveries are time sensitive. Our experienced Rail Development Team will evaluate inbound and outbound traffic flows and advise on integrating rail on a dedicated or shared user basis.

Environmental sustainability is a significant benefit of using railfreight. Rail produces 80% less Carbon Dioxide, 20% less Carbon Monoxide, 5% less Fine Particulate and 10% less Volatile Organic Compounds per tonne carried compared with road transport. Other advantages of using our rail service include; more efficient energy consumption and reduced road congestion.
