Our Logistics division provides supply chain management, storage, distribution and related services to a number of major customers via numerous strategically located intermodal centres, and is the operator of major rail freight terminals, 450 trucks and over 5 million square feet of warehousing throughout the UK. The Company provides integrated third party logistics solutions including bonded and non-bonded warehousing and supply chain management to a number of blue chip customers across Scotland and England.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join the team at our Site based in Harlow.

Reporting to the Site Lead the successful candidate will provide administrative support for the 24/7 operation, ensuring the highest level of accuracy at all times. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a practical understanding of general office and administrative duties and have the ability to conduct tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

The role is fast paced and varied and as such requires an individual with a proactive and flexible approach to work, both in a team environment and individually. A keen eye for detail, good telephone manner and excellent face to face communication skills are essential attributes required for this role in order to effectively liaise with a variety of internal departments and external customers. Above all, you will need to demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude to organising your resources to deliver excellent service to our customers.

Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook is also essential.

Key responsibilities will include:

  •        Checking and processing hourly paid employees’ weekly wages.
  •        Ensuring uniform, PPE and stationary stock is ordered and maintained efficiently.
  •        Organising and booking frequent travel arrangements for Senior Management.
  •        Supporting managers with minute and note taking.
  •        General administration duties such as telephone and email correspondence and scheduling  meetings.
  •        Supporting managers with recruitment administration such as screening applications, arranging interviews,               and employment reference checks. 
  •        Liaising with customers and visitors in a professional manner.
  •        Liaising with other internal departments.

The above duties are integral aspects of the role, however there are other tasks involved in the general day to day operation of the transport and Warehouse departments which you will be required to be a part of.  

The hours of work will be based on Monday to Friday 7am – 12:00 pm Midday. Reasonable flexibility is expected in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak operational periods. The salary offered is competitive and will be discussed at interview.
