Job Description:

As a Spray Painter at W H Malcolm Ltd, you will be responsible for applying paint and coatings to a variety of surfaces, including HGV vehicles, machinery, and industrial equipment. You will ensure that all work meets our high standards for quality and durability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
  • Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using spray guns, brushes, or rollers.
  • Mix and match paint colours to achieve the desired results.
  • Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards.
  • Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools.
  • Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a commercial spray painter, preferably in an automotive or industrial industry
  • Proficient in using spray guns and other painting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of paint mixing and application techniques.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality finishes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the painting industry.
  • Certification or training in spray painting techniques is a plus.
