HGV Class 1 (C+E) Rigid HIAB /Beavertail Driver - South Street

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Rigid HIAB/Beavertail Driver/, at our South Street depot.

Responsibilities for the role includes:

  • Driving an 8 Wheeler Rigid HIAB Plant Body Beavertail. 
  • Using HIAB to lift containers & various site work.
  • Delivering earthmoving plant/equipment from our large hire fleet to & from site. 
  • Work is varied and covers all types of wheeled, tracked and roller equipment.

Successful candidates must have the following:

  • HGV C+E (Class 1) license
  • HIAB/Lorry loader certificate preferably CPCS/CSCS but ALLMI/CSCS is accepted with experience.
  • Practical knowledge of moving plant, excavators, rollers, wheeled equipment etc.
  • Digital Tachograph card & Full Driver’s CPC Qualification.  
  • A good understanding of the tachograph rules. 

Preferred but not essential:

  • ADR License
  • Loader/Securer (CPCS card)

You should be able to work safely on your own initiative and be used to working on construction and industrial sites.  You should have excellent driving skills and be able to safely load and secure various items of equipment.  You will be expected to accommodate varied working hours including overtime to suit the business needs.
