Nightshift Bond Administrator
The Malcolm Group is a privately owned and highly successful logistics, construction and maintenance business employing over 2000 people across the UK. Our logistics division operates 450 trucks, over 5 million square feet of warehousing and major rail freight terminals, servicing several blue-chip customers.
The Company is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and competent Nightshift Bond Administrator at our Bonded Warehouse in the Linwood complex.
Reporting to the Bond Administration Supervisor/Warehouse Manager the successful candidate will provide administrative support for the 24/7 warehouse operation, ensuring the highest level of accuracy at all times. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a practical understanding of general office, warehouse and administrative duties and have the ability to conduct tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
The role is fast paced and varied and as such requires an individual with a proactive and flexible approach to work, both in a team environment and individually. A keen eye for detail, good telephone manner and excellent face to face communication skills are essential attributes required for this role in order to effectively liaise with a variety of internal departments and external customers.
Above all, you will need to demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude to organising your resources to deliver excellent service to our customers. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Processing of Bonded Goods in accordance with HMRC regulations
- Preparing records in compliance with HRMC regulation including internal and external audits
- Record and prepare transport bookings to ensure efficient vehicle turnarounds
- Meet and exceed customer demands, specifically complying with defined standards and expectations
- Liaising with warehouse and transport personnel as required
Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook is essential and experience of working with Warehouse and Transport systems including SAP, Dispatcher and Road Runner Pro will prove beneficial but training for such shall be provided. Basic knowledge of HMRC requirements in respect of Bonded Warehouse Keeping would be an advantage, however it is not essential as training will be given.
The above duties are integral aspects of the role, however there are other tasks involved in the general day to day operation of the warehouse which you will be required to be a part of.
The hours of work will be based on Sunday to Thursday nightshift. Reasonable flexibility is expected in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak operational periods. The successful candidate will be required to provide holiday cover for other members of the nightshift team. The salary offered is competitive and will be discussed at interview.
