As an environmentally responsible company, we aim to minimise the impact of our operations on the environment. As major users of motor vehicles, plant and technologies that can have a detrimental effect on the environment, we realise that it is important to take all possible steps in order to mitigate these adverse effects.

We are determined to show respect for our environment, taking responsibility for reducing our impact and helping our customers do the same. As part of our commitment to reducing carbon emissions, we have invested substantially in our railfreight infrastructure. By increasing the volume of freight carried by our rail services, we have converted many millions of freighted miles from Road to Rail, resulting in significant environmental benefits.

Working with our clients and our business partners we have identified many areas where we have been able to make a positive contribution to the environment.
