Some descriptionMalcolm Logistics Secondary Distribution Operation is based at our Newhouse Centre, which covers 450,000 sq ft of warehousing space and over 150,000 sq ft of modern bonded warehousing, all of whch is fully BRC accredited, from which our own secondary distribution fleet provides a daily service to many “blue-chip' customers nationwide.

On arrival at our distribution centre, pallets are processed through our Warehouse Management System and are picked for the customer on an as required basis. The WMS system operates on a 'FIFO' basis (First In – First Out), with the oldest stock being distributed first. Traffic planners at Newhouse organise the distribution of goods to economise loads and utilise pallet space.

Shipments varying from one case to multi SKU’s are loaded onto our specialist vehicles by our experienced forklift drivers for their final delivery. Using our sophisticated data capture and reporting techniques our customers have access to real-time stock visibility and the ability to make real-time decisions across their supply chain.

IT support is fundamental to assisting operations and Malcolm Logistics has proven integration with systems and major ERP solutions, which allows for the most up-to-date stock availability. This is supplemented by end-to end barcode scanning and real time track and trace resulting in greater control over all of our customers stock.

This integrated approach has proven to be a business critical tool for our customers
