Rail Services

Rail has re-emerged as an attractive freight option and The Malcolm Group's pioneering express services are leading the way. We launched our initial service in 2001, with Direct Rail Services of Carlisle and we now provide reliable daily and overnight transit between the following depots:

• Grangemouth - Linwood
• Grangemouth - Aberdeen
• Grangemouth - Crick (DIRFT)
• Crick (DIRFT) - Mossend

In 2008 we took over the management of DIRFT. The development of Rail Terminal Operations has been a major plank in our development strategy over the past 5 years. Malcolm Rail now provides a substantial range of intermodal services which handle UK and European rail/road movements for customers in the manufacturing, logistics and retail sectors, including: ASDA, Ikea, Diageo, Sainsburys, British Gypsum and UPM Kymmene.
