The Malcolm Group is one of the UK’s leading providers of logistics, construction, and maintenance services. We are now recruiting for a key role in our team!

As our Group People & Recruitment Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a proactive, efficient, and values-driven People function. Leading a team of HR professionals, you’ll partner with business leaders to drive performance, engagement, and compliance across the Group. You’ll be responsible for embedding best-in-class people policies, modernising systems and processes, and ensuring the right people are in the right roles to help our business succeed.
This is a hands-on, office-based, leadership role with real scope to shape the future of how we work – perfect for someone who wants to make a lasting impact.
Based at our Newhouse Head Office, you will;
- Lead and develop a high-performing People team to deliver a customer-focused HR service
- Provide rock solid support for complex case work
- Ensure legal compliance and mitigate business risk with up-to-date HR knowledge
- Lead the team to partner with managers to drive KPIs and improve employee performance, engagement, and retention
- Design and embed world-class HR policies, systems and digital processes
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning strategies
- Support organisational change, restructures, and design programmes
- Drive our company values, diversity, and inclusion across every level
What you’ll bring:
- Significant proven experience leading high-performing HR teams in a fast-paced environment
- Deep knowledge of UK employment legislation
- Experience handling complex people challenges (ER, recruitment, retention, labour management, TUPE)
- A hands-on, pragmatic approach with strong influencing skills
- A passion for using HR systems and data to drive change
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent)
