Alison is also a Non Executive Director of Scottish Power Energy Networks Ltd, Non Executive Director Fidelity Special Values PLC and is a Non Executive Director of the Scottish FA. Previously held roles as CEO, HSBC Scotland, Chair of the Scottish Apprenticeship Advisory Board, Non Executive Director Confederation of British Industries and Non Executive Director of Beatson Cancer Charity.

Andrew joined the family-run W.H. Malcolm Limited  on leaving school and has worked in every aspect of the business, from starting in the repair workshop to driving HGV trucks and progressing through traffic/depot manager levels. He took over the running of the general haulage division in 1989 and in 1994 became the CEO of the Group. He was awarded an MBE on the Kings Birthday Honours List in 2023 for services to the transport industry. He is an ambassador for The Beatson Cancer Centre and sits on the Board of the Wise Group, a leading social enterprise working to lift people out of poverty.

Walter studied Business Administration at Strathclyde University and gained an MBA from Stirling University before starting within the Tipper and Plant Division of the family-run W.H. Malcolm Limited, of which he is now the co-owner and Managing Director of the Construction Services Division. He is a Director of Malcolm Insurance (Guernsey) Limited, the Malcolm Group’s offshore captive insurance company. He is also a member of the Glasgow Warriors Advisory Group having played rugby for Glasgow District before the game went professional.

Jim is the Managing Director of Malcolm Logistics and a Board Director since May 5th, 2022. He started as a Forklift Driver in June 1992 and has risen through various roles, including Depot Manager and Head of Warehouse Operations, Operations Director before becoming Managing Director in 2022. His 30-year journey exemplifies dedication and leadership within the company.

David joined The Malcolm Group in 2011. He spent 12 years at STV group plc, having held several senior executive management positions including Chief Executive and Finance Director of the TV Division, Managing Director of STV Ventures and plc M&A Director. David previously worked with Coopers & Lybrand as an M&A advisor in the UK and Australasia, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with that firm in 1993.

Alan was appointed to the Malcolm Group Board on 1 May 2003.  Between 1983 and 1991 he worked with Ernst & Young qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1986.  In 1991 he joined the Group (at that time called Grampian Holdings plc).  He has wide experience of both corporate and operational matters, gaining significant experience in both acquisitions and disposals during his career with the group, including the successful “Public to Private” of The Malcolm Group plc in May 2005.  He is a Trustee of the group’s defined benefit pension schemes.

Lucy is a qualified solicitor with The Law Society of Scotland and has worked within corporate and commercial roles in various private practice and In-house positions since 2006. She has previously been the Company Secretary for Baxters Food Group Limited and Director of Legal and Governance at Glasgow Caledonian University. She is also Group Legal Counsel for The Malcolm Group and is a graduate member of the Chartered Governance Institute for UK and Ireland.
