Key Responsibilities 

• Conduct thorough inspections of all types of vehicles and trailers to identify issues
• Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes and other mechanical systems
• Demonstrates commitment to delivering high quality work that meets or exceeds expectations
• Use diagnostic equipment to assess problems and determine appropriate solutions
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical technology

Qualifications/Skills required

• Qualified/time served as an HGV mechanic is essential
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools and equipment
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Commitment to maintaining high safety standards
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• HGV Class 2 (desirable) Class 1 (advantageous)
