HGV/LCV Mechanic – Maintenance

Hours of Work - 45 (Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday)

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the Fleet and third-party vehicles are compliant to roadworthiness Regulations.
- Preparing vehicles for periodic inspections and MOT testing.
- Conduct thorough inspections of all types of vehicles and trailers to identify issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes and other mechanical systems.
- Demonstrates commitment to delivering high quality work that meets or exceeds expectations.
- Use diagnostic equipment to assess problems and determine appropriate solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical technology.
Qualifications/Skills required
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools and equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- HGV Class 2 (desirable).
