Key Responsibilities

  • Handling inbound/outbound calls and emails about plant and machinery hire
  • Processing hire requests, payments and invoices
  • Arranging transportation of equipment
  • Developing professional relationships with internal and external clients
  • Negotiating and converting hire enquiries into orders
  • Using sales techniques to maximise cross selling opportunities
  • Identifying and interpreting the best solution for the customers’ requirements
  • Solving problems and multi-tasking within a busy office environment
  • Managing plant operatives

Qualifications/Skills required

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage paperwork, records and schedules
  • Adaptability
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
  • Commitment to learn and develop
  • Previous experience working within a plant hire company (essential)
  • Computer and IT literate, proficiency in Connect is preferred
  • Full UK driving licence
