Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all workshop activities to meet service standards and legal compliance
- Monitor and act on inspections reports, ensuring defects are addressed immediately
- Lead, mentor and develop workshop staff, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance
- Ensure all workshop operations align with company policies relating to health & safety, quality and environmental
- Liaise with H&S to conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, implementing appropriate control measures
- Manage employee performance issues, working with the People Team and senior management as required
- Managing budgets, parts inventory and service contracts
- Promote the correct use of PPE and safety equipment across all workshop activities
Qualifications/Skills required
- Proven experience managing a busy plant or vehicle maintenance workshop
- Strong understanding of fleet maintenance regulations and compliance
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong knowledge of health and safety
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads effectively
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Computer and IT literate
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
