Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all workshop activities to meet service standards and legal compliance
  • Monitor and act on inspections reports, ensuring defects are addressed immediately
  • Lead, mentor and develop workshop staff, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance
  • Ensure all workshop operations align with company policies relating to health & safety, quality and environmental
  • Liaise with H&S to conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, implementing appropriate control measures
  • Manage employee performance issues, working with the People Team and senior management as required
  • Managing budgets, parts inventory and service contracts
  • Promote the correct use of PPE and safety equipment across all workshop activities

Qualifications/Skills required

  • Proven experience managing a busy plant or vehicle maintenance workshop
  • Strong understanding of fleet maintenance regulations and compliance
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads effectively
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Computer and IT literate
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
