Key Responsibilities
- Lead, empower and develop the Tipper & Transport team
- Ensures H&S, Environmental and Operators Licence compliance whilst delivering best in class customer service, measured against company KPI’s
- Managing and co-ordinating the time sensitive day to day operation to ensure effective use of resources across all functions
- Planning the operation to ensure targets and stringent time restraints are met
- Continuously improve operational and financial efficiencies
- Oversees vehicle management
- Plans driver resource strategically, tactically and operationally to utilise fleet to its maximum capacity, fully utilising software and hardware platforms
- Consistently promote and adhere to Company policy, procedure and legislation
Qualifications/Skills required
- Transport Manager CPC – Road Haulage (preferred)
- Highly developed people management skillset with the ability to develop individual team members to their full potential
- A strong attention to detail
- Complex problem solving skills
- Commercially astute, analytical with a high degree of numeracy
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage paperwork, records and schedules
- Previous experience working with a Tipper fleet (preferred)
- Computer and IT literate
- Full UK driving licence
