Key Responsibilities

• Lead, empower and develop the Tipper & Transport team
• Ensures H&S, Environmental and Operators Licence compliance whilst delivering best in class customer service, measured against company KPI’s
• Managing and co-ordinating the time sensitive day to day operation to ensure effective use of resources across all functions
• Planning the operation to ensure targets and stringent time restraints are met
• Continuously improve operational and financial efficiencies
• Oversees vehicle management
• Plans driver resource strategically, tactically and operationally to utilise fleet to its maximum capacity, fully utilising software and hardware platforms
• Consistently promote and adhere to Company policy, procedure and legislation

Qualifications/Skills required

• Transport Manager CPC – Road Haulage (preferred)
• Highly developed people management skillset with the ability to develop individual team members to their full potential
• A strong attention to detail
• Complex problem solving skills
• Commercially astute, analytical with a high degree of numeracy
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage paperwork, records and schedules
• Previous experience working with a Tipper fleet (preferred)
• Computer and IT literate
• Full UK driving licence
