Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks on company assets and various equipment
- Manufacture and repair components such as brackets, guards, steps, frames, buckets, skips etc
- Carry out MIG welding to a high standard on various materials including mild steel and aluminium
- Operate workshop machinery including grinders, cutters, drills and other forming tools as required
- Carry out inspections on fabricated items for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Assist with general workshop duties when required
- Adhere to health and safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications/Skills required
- Proven experience as a welder/ fabricator in a workshop environment
- Competence in interpreting technical engineering drawings
- Strong skills in MIG welding (STICK welding advantageous)
- Experience working with mild steel and aluminium
- Good attention to detail
- Proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving challenges
- Full UK Driving Licence
