Hours of Work - Monday–Thursday, 8am–5pm; Friday, 8am–3pm

Key Responsibilities
- Sanding, grinding, and feathering new/old paint surfaces to achieve smooth, paint-ready finishes
- Cleaning prepared surfaces using solvents and other methods to remove dust, grease & contaminants
- Properly masking vehicle areas using tape, paper, and protective barriers to prevent paint overspray
- Verifying surface quality meets paint department standards before handing off to painters
- Stripping and rebuilding various vehicle components in preparation for painting (experience advantageous but not essential)
- Following all health & safety procedures and promoting a positive health & safety culture
- Working collaboratively to meet deadlines and production targets
- Mentoring apprentices, sharing knowledge and supporting their development within the workshop team
Qualifications/Skills required
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a commercial, automotive, or industrial spray-painting environment
- Understanding of paint systems, surface preparation techniques, and automotive materials
- Ability to diagnose surface issues and determine appropriate prep methods
- Excellent eye for detail and commitment to high standards
- A team player with the ability to work independently or well as part of a team
- Good understanding of workshop health & safety
