Handy Person / Skilled Labourer - Grangemouth

The Company is seeking to appoint a Handy Person / Skilled Labourer. Reporting to the Building Maintenance Manager the successful candidate will be multi-skilled and have an all-round knowledge and understanding of minor repairs and maintenance services. This general building maintenance role involves keeping the fabric of the building in a good condition by carrying out high quality, efficient and well-organised general building repairs and maintenance services. The role will involve working both indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • General repairs and maintenance as required
  • Basic joinery
  • 1st fix plumbing including the ability to repair small water leaks and replacing seals if necessary
  • 1st fix electrical work including replacing bulbs, fuses, plugs
  • Concrete and/or plastering
  • Painting and decorating – preparation, painting walls, ceilings and woodwork (interior and exterior)

The above duties are integral aspects of the role, however there are other tasks involved in the general day to day operations of the business which you will be required to be a part of.

The hours of work will be based on Monday to Friday dayshift. Reasonable flexibility is expected in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak operational periods. The salary offered is competitive and will be discussed at interview.

Please note that a full UK Driving Licence is a requirement for this role. The successful candidate may be required to travel to other WHM locations.
