The Malcolm Group was proud to host a cheque presentation to Maggie’s Lanarkshire at The Donald Malcolm Heritage Centre on 13^th July 2026, celebrating an outstanding fundraising achievement by David Wilson and his children, Cameron and Ellie.

Inspired by the memory of David's late Wife and Cameron and Ellie's Mum, Kirsty, the family commissioned a specially made Malcolm Group Walking Floor Trailer model featuring the bespoke dual branding of The Malcolm Group and Maggie’s. The Malcolm Group unveiled the special Maggie’s livery on one of its Walking Floor Trailers in 2024 as part of the company's long-standing support for the charity.

The limited-edition model proved hugely popular, raising an incredible £12,500. Every penny from the sale of the 200 models has been donated to Maggie’s Lanarkshire in Kirsty's memory, with the family aiming to raise £50,000 in total for various local charities.

The cheque was presented to Maggie’s Lanarkshire representatives, Iain Corcoran, Centre Fundraising Manager, and Kerry-Anne Lang from the Centre Management team, alongside the unique Walking Floor Trailer.

David Wilson, commented, "The Wilson Family would like to express their sincerest gratitude, both to the Malcolm Family & The Malcolm Group, for their greatly appreciated & much valued kindness & support in allowing us to bring our dream to fruition, whilst marking our appreciation of support offered by Maggie's Cancer Centres - a cause very dear to our hearts in memory of a Very Special Lady who inspired this project.

We’d also like to record our appreciation to Steve at Anglo Dutch Model Trucks LTD for his expertise & consultancy in bringing our dream through to production.

We are very much looking forward to doing further Malcolm Group Charity trucks in the future - with our 2^nd already underway in our quest to achieve our fundraising target.
